Welcome to Emily’s Adventures

The Emily’s Adventures series was inspired by one of the happiest and most memorable chapters of my family’s life. When my daughter was nine years old, I bought her a beautiful pony called Emily for her birthday. From that moment, Emily became far more than a pony — she became a much-loved member of our family and the beginning of so many wonderful adventures. We spent years riding, learning, laughing, getting muddy, overcoming challenges and making memories that have stayed with us ever since.

Set in and around the beautiful Cornish town of Looe, the stories follow nine-year-old Emma and her beloved black pony, Emily, as they experience the joys, surprises and occasional mishaps of pony ownership. Alongside their friends, family and other ponies, they discover the importance of courage, kindness, friendship, responsibility and believing in themselves.

Written especially for children aged 8–12, each book is filled with warmth, excitement and the special bond that can grow between a child and a pony. Although the stories are fictional, they are lovingly inspired by the fun my daughter and I shared with the real Emily — the pony who gave us adventures we would never forget.

Whether your child already loves ponies or simply enjoys heartfelt stories about friendship, family and growing up, I hope Emily’s Adventures will make them smile, capture their imagination and leave them eager to discover what Emma and Emily do next.
